Exhibition featuring scores, audio and video from the 2022 ballet, Storm Approaching Wangi.
Presented as part of Dobell Festival 2023, Dobell’s Storm showcases the incredible costumes, set design and paintings developed by James Drinkwater for MAP mima’s 2022 ballet, Storm Approaching Wangi, and other desires on the life and art of William Dobell. The ballet was inspired by Dobell and his relationship to the lake, and this exhibition will bring together Lake Macquarie’s collection and the ballet’s ephemera.
